several years ago I downloaded Firefox but never completlely set it up . Now I cannot sign in to set it up . It rejects my password . As far as I know the password I logged on here is the only one I have . I sent 2 messages asking for a password reset but received no reply . Due to problems with windows live mail 2011 I want to fully convert to Firefox . Home page and email. I would appreciate an early reply . Kind Regards Kerry Ingham .

If you installed a special Firefox version that requires a password to be started then try to install the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (55.0.3) in all languages and all operating systems here:

Hi, I'm not quite sure which password you need to set up...

When you install Firefox, it suggests creating a Firefox Account. That account can be used with Sync and other services. (More info: Access Mozilla Services with a Firefox Account) If you don't immediately need to synchronize data between different installations of Firefox, then you don't need to set up a Firefox Account right away. You can close that tab and move on with your browsing.

But since you mentioned windows live mail 2011, I wonder whether you really need to set up Thunderbird, which is the stand-alone email software. Are you having a problem setting up your email account(s) in Thunderbird?
