I get a "Your Connection is not secure" message. How do I get rid of it?
That is what appears on the screen and I can't get rid of it so that Mozilla Firefox will work normally.
Chosen solution
It is often not a good idea to just reinstall Firefox because it often does not help and if it is necessary probably the clean install where the program folder is removed would have been required.
Just download and install the Polish version of Firefox instead of the English version. No need to uninstall Firefox first.
- See How to install Firefox on Windows
- Ordinary downloads try using getfirefox.com
- In your case you will need the ESR channel https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/faq/
- To make sure you get the Polish language version for a 32bit Windows this is the link right now: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-52.1.2esr-SSL&os=win&lang=pl (General page https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all/ )

There is likely a good reason that message is being displayed. What website are you trying to visit?
Try checking out this link for some info on what that message means and how to bypass: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-does-your-connection-is-not-secure-mean

I have looked at those links but it doesn't help much. The website that is marked insecure is "search avira com" which is my usual search website with Mozilla Firefox. I have found a way round the problem but I can no longer do a normal internet search using Mozilla and "search.avira.com". I can access the internet using - I think it is called a "tool bar" - or by using alternative internet access such as "Internet explorer". If this goes on much longer I think I shall take my computer outside and shoot it!!!! Thanks
When I look at that site it is offering
Security Tip: Get Avira SafeSearch Plus to highlight harmful sites in your search results.
I wonder if your issues relate to using that whatever it is ? I presume it is a supposedly safe search extension, but if so I am not sure how well it works and whether it may be mainly a revenue and click generating extension or whether it has any real benefit.
Can you use the site ok if you try it from Firefox's safe mode and by using the direct secure httpS link
and not using something you have bookmarked as a search link.
Thank you. I now seem to have solved the problem. I removed Firefox from my computer and then reinstalled it. Everything seems to work normally - the only problem now is that I need to change the language from Polish to English. Any suggestions? Thanks again for suggestions.

Thank you. Everything is now working normally and in English. Many thanks!
Ok great. I mis read your earlier question and thought you had English but needed Polish.
I use a website called "BigJackpotBetting.com" It is just a fun site that lets you play the greyhounds at no cost and actually offers rewards to anyone that has a great day of picking. There is no risk involved so no need for the insecure message which is just an irritation. So, can I get rid of the warning or can Mozilla just admit is is a mistake and remove the warning?
