Please help me urgently. I have a time limit to complete a test for a potential job and have mere hours to complete it.

UHRS Web Entry website works on Chrome but not your browser. I have been requested to use Firefox. I get to the initial log in page but when I click on "sign in Live ID", nothing happens.

Its an issue with your browser.

Cookies are allowed and I have Windows 7. Nothing I do is working. I have a couple of hours left and exhausted all avenues for a solution.

Hi.

What way are you using to login?

There have been issues with some Microsoft servers, so if you use Outlook then you may have been affected by this.

If you get the SEC_ERROR_OCSP_INVALID_SIGNING_CERT error message when you access some Microsoft servers then this is a known issue that this server is sending a cached OCSP Stapling response that is signed with an expired certificate. Microsoft is aware of this issue and is repairing affected servers.

You should no longer experience this issue once the server that you access has been fixed. Hopefully they will fix this quickly on all affected servers.

As a workaround you can temporarily toggle this pref to false on the about:config page to see if disabling OCSP Stapling works for you.

  • security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling = false

You can open the about:config page: via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

It is best to reset this pref via the right-click context menu to true once you are done with accessing an affected website since this is a security feature.

What way? By desktop, windows 7, and Live ID. Sorry wasn't 100% sure what you meant so gave a bunch of answers.

Outlook is working just fine now.

I am getting run-time error when I refresh the page sometimes but it's instant response,

Can you try the link out please so you can see the problem? I promise it's safe. I don't think your answer covers it. I also don't understand you. I'm not on an advanced level as you are with this kind of thing.

As I said, the page works fine on another browser but I've been told to use Firefox. I can't disobey instructions.

There have been issues with accessing Microsoft mail servers that started yesterday. Most servers have been repaired by now, but if you can access your mail page without a problem then you do not need to do what I wrote above.

If I click the link then a new tab opens to the login.live.com website. https://login.live.com/oauth20_authorize.srf?<GET data appended>

Doesn't that page open for you if you click the button?

I didn't go that far to give the website permission or have access to my email address, so I do not know if special cookie permissions are required or that it works with third-party cookies disabled. --- Do you have any content blocking extensions?

  • "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content. There is security software that can interfere with loading content, so check that as well.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Went to check where and how you're supposed to sign in. As you're supposed to do this with Live ID (Windows Live ID), and you are really in a hurry, may I suggest you contact Microsoft here and (hopefully) get an immediate answer :

Well, they spent hours using Remote help and they have no clue what's going on. Did everything they knew that could be the problem and I went through 4 different people.

Thanks for all of your help but I needed comparability mode and paste the entire URL link plus clicked the little box. That worked.

I appreciate your advice anyway :-)

I think (assume) this is part of the problem with having to manually refresh every time. FF will not let me sign in to some sites, inc my main employment site. Most sites I just fill the fields, click "Sign In" do a manual refresh & I'm in. However, for my most important site, the one that is critical for putting food on the table, I've got to use Internet Explorer because FF just blinks & won't log in, even with a manual refresh. There are other sites with the same problem but this one is critical for my continuing employment. What is the fix for this one? This is using the latest version of FF under W10.
