How do I change letters for proper video controls eg I currently get displayed a "f" for play.

more options

I'm getting letters instead of normal video play control symbols eg f for play, t for full screen, d for volume symbol etc. I need the symbols! Otherwise I'll be uninstalling firefox and installing internet explorer.

I just followed your initial instructions about allowing firefox to choose its own fonts. It seems that has solved the problem. Thank you.

Hi, can't see any option that specifies the answer that solved my problem. But I marked it as helpful if that's what is meant.

It was the:

[quote] Type about:preferences#content<enter> in the address bar. Across from fonts and colors, press the Advanced button. On the bottom, turn on Allow Web Sites To Choose Their Own. /quote

that solved it.
