How do I View PDFs in Firefox, not Downloading PDFs?

I have Firefox 11.0.960 and Windows 7

Any PDF file I attempt to view, gets downloaded instead of being displayed. AND very sneakily as there is just an arrow flash, no indication of WHERE it is downloaded.

All help I find appears to be for an older version of Firefox as it describes steps, and items that do not exist on this version. There is NO "PDF add-on"

Clicking the 'automatically add', 'try these manual steps' or 'show details' on this Support Question screen ---- Wipes out all my explanation ... SO add "Broken" Help Screen to your fix list also!!

My Options -> has "Downloads" and the default was my \users\myid\download directory.. I unchecked that, and set the check at "Always ask you where to save files"

I made a mistake on the Version, I have 53.0.2 (32-bit)

I really don't know if this will work since you're using Firefox 11 for some reason, and I have 53, but it might be the same.

Go to Options -> Applications and scroll down to "Portable Document Format (PDF)", and for the Action, select "Preview in Firefox"
