hello, this sounds like a problem that may be caused by the new multi-process architecture in firefox (codename "e10s"): https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2016/08/02/whats-next-for-multi-process-firefox/

please try disabling e10s like this: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2. double-click it and change its value to false and restart the browser.

I cant type anything into the firefox browser. there are no graphics. Even if I were to guess where the address bar is, I could not see what I type.

oh sorry, i thought only the page content was blank (your screenshot didn't come through unfortunately). can you please try to press the shift key while firefox is starting in order to get it into safemode? Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

in there, please disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

please also go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

thanks, does it make any difference if you download the latest graphics drivers from https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 & enable hardware acceleration again afterwards?
