Don't know what causes my issue except I cannot control volume or any drop down boxes. Volume for instance always automatically slides (quickly) from the max volume where I place it back to mute. Drop downs in start menu not working either; won't go from a to z. I have checked drivers and versions and all are updated. I have had an issue for several months with my HP Pavilion laptop opening bookmarks, search boxes and other non-requested actions. I checked for Hot Keys but they weren't turned on so I am lost. I am not very computer literate and hope someone can help. Thank you.

Thank you Fred for that information. I had previously checked all the drivers and they were up to date but now I am almost ashamed to say the problem has been corrected. Ashamed because it was something as simple as a defective wireless mouse. Once I replaced it with another off it went, normal as before. It is good to know if I ever really do have an issue I can depend on contributor support. Thanks again.

See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
