Chosen solution

removed last windows update in win 10 can't tell you how something i did through settings and update options was able to highlight update and click on an uninstall option so far removing update and more recent add ons appears to have fixed the problem will know for sure after i have firefox open for several hours continuously

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

dell vostro 200 machine intel core 2 duo 2gbit ram - that may have come with WinXP Home - circa 2007

I wonder if that computer can handle Windows 10 efficiently?

My advise is to visit an independent Windows 10 support forum, such as this one. - http://www.tenforums.com/
