a plugin is needed
I got this error when trying to use Firefox with a work application saying "A plugin is needed to display this content" ... but there is absolutely no way of finding out which plugin is needed. So, my question is what is the point of this message? It's like a mechanic saying "your car is broken" and then walking away...

Most of the time, this comes up if you don't have a player installed. What web page did this come up on?
Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
Flash Player Version: 23.0.0.162 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.635
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download.
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download.

Hi, thanks for the reply. This came up when running the web-based application; Netcool. It's not a conflict issue, I have checked the server version.
My query was more regarding my original point: What is the point of a message saying 'you need something' but not telling you what is needed?
