I updates PC and installed latest version of FF48.0.02 Win7 (64bit) and now when I try and stream I get an this

Error loading player No playable sources found.

The same link plays fine in chrome and happens with all streams, I didn't have this issue under XP and older version of FF usin Win7

I've seen alot of answers but they seem out of date and nothing seems to work.

I really need this as I'm not liking Chrome.

Chosen solution

Firefox does not use anything ActiveX related as ActiveX is used by Internet Explorer aka IE. Firefox uses the NPAPI Plugins.

As for streams, the sites or examples can be useful as every site with streams can be different and use either Flash Player or HTML5 for their player (Youtube is a major example using HTML5) as more sites do so which does not need the Flash Player Plugin.

Ok I fixed it here, I had the wrong version of flash installed.

I had Adobe Flash player 18 active x installed Which I download as an standalone .exe After uninstalling and using the web down version It installed Adbobe Flash Player 23 NPAPI which works.
