HI,

Hoping someone can assist...perhaps with even a tool or app to vet what is going on. It is irregular and frequent. I do not want to go the Chrome. Running the most update to date, and that when the prob started Happy to clarify...as have refreshed more than once, uninstalled and reinstalled...and all virus and malware programs are up to date.

looking forward to assistance

regards Lethal40

Chosen solution

yes, this faulty module seems to be particularly related to the hitman pro alert part of their tools...

Hi FredMcD,

Thanks for the update.

I have updated all relevant drivers, from your links..thanks I have also contacted Sophos (who now own surfright) for tech help, as I assume you are suggesting an update/upgrade or uninsalttaltion of the two Hitman licences that I have. It also seems that Symantec/nortons products now have an issue with these programs...(which they didnt until recent months).

I also wasnt quite to sure what you comment ' Symantec Intrusion Detection' meant....though it probably relates to the NIS (Nort Int Sec) probs I am having.....

There is no apparent way to update the software from the site, or from within....and I await their response...still.

thanks again for the update

Symantec = Norton Sometimes protection programs give Firefox problems. Normally doing an update fixes the problem. Other times, they have to get together with Mozilla to fix it.

hi, in those new crash reports it is still the same "hmpalert.dll" module from hitman pro hooking into firefox and causing those crashes... have you fully uninstalled it?

more options

Hi Philipp,

Thanks for the further response.

The paid premium version of Hitman Pro has certainly gone, unless there is some residue. I still have Hitman Pro ALERT 3 (its a browser anti malware/anti-philsing app). It is almost unque in its approach. Is this causing a problem, you think?

I may need to go back to their support area (though still no response from prior contact, or with their owners Sophos).

Thanks I have uninstalled alert and will monitor.

There is no support portal at all on the surfright site....I will go and see if the normal support portal/address is available on cnet.

I will come back with results of the uninstal (issues continues or not)

Hi Guys & Gals,

I have now completed a full two days testing firefox without hitman pro/hitman pro alert on the same PC. Not ONE Crash!

Philipp. Thank you so much.

How disappointed I am in Surfright & Sophos...no responses, and a programs that conflict with what I consider to be the best and perhaps second most popular browser on the planet

Thanks again guys!
