There is no 'Email Link' sub menu under 'File' in Thunderbird and never has been....why would you have a 'Email Link' in Thunderbird...it is an email client. So is totally illogical.

I believe you are talking about something else entirely. Perhaps you are are talking about Firefox browser, that would have the need to use 'File' > 'Email link'.

You are quite right Toad-Hall, thank you - a moment of aberration on my part - - it is indeed the Firefox browser facility 'File' > 'Email link' which has stopped working. Thank you.

It used to trigger an email "page" (I'm visibly not very technical with my language) which then only needed relatively few pieces of information like the email addressee before being ready to send.
