Why doesn't Mozilla allow user to close multiple tabs in FF without confirmation?

I'm not a UI designer, but they seem to want to keep things simple.
Depending on which features you use, there are two warnings you might want to disable. Take a look here:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste warn and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.warnOnClose preference to switch the value from true to false -- setting this to false prevents the warning when you close a window with multiple tabs
(4) Double-click the browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs preference to switch the value from true to false -- setting this to false prevents the warning when you right click a tab and use either Close Tabs to the Right or Close Other Tabs
