At long last I have a new computer, with WIN 10. Coming from WIN XP has been challenging so far. Some things are familiar, but customising it all to suit my needs has been a nightmare. WIN 10 gave me only 4 colourway options, none of which worked for me, the one I chose I'm having problems with. I am sight challenged, so need larger fonts/text and appropriate colours to help make my reading a joy & not a pain. Also, I used to be able to open a browser session & stay on that all day, new sites would load/open into a NEW TAB each time, now I can't seem to do that, all the new sites I click on are opening in the same tab, making it difficult to keep track of my work. The colourway I chose from WIN 10 gave me a black background, so some add-ons I can't read, & some add-ons are coming up with a white/very light background, so that some of the text is not showing, & this is also so when I mouse over some things, cannot read any text. This also affects trying to change the colours in TOOLS ~ OPTIONS, the colours just aren't visible. Also cannot play any videos, but maybe I should ask that in another forum?

Please can you suggest a fix for me (detailed, please!) This is very stressful, even though I am trying to keep calm, I am not sleeping properly, my mind is trying to solve the problems!

Many thanks in advance for any help Kind regards Sylvia

Hi, you seem to be using Firefox 43 which might be causing some problems, so you should update to v47.0.1 To do that, open the 3-bar menu > Help (question mark at bottom right) > About Firefox. Alternatively, you can press the Alt key to bring up the main menu bar > Help > About Firefox. More - Update Firefox to the latest release.

You have seen this, I expect - Font size and zoom - increase the size of web pages.

For issues specific to Win10, this forum has tutorials and help - http://www.tenforums.com/

You don't seem to have Adobe Shockwave Flash which is needed for videos on some websites - https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ (Take care to deselect any optional offers)!

For you tabs issue: There is a setting in some search engines to open results in a new tab. In Google for example, search for anything in the search bar - to open the results page, then > Options (top right corner) > Search Settings > 'Results Window,' and tick/check ' Open search results in a new browser window.' (They will open in a new tab).

Alternatively you can hold down Ctrl while clicking the link, or right click Open Link in New Tab, or there are several addons which will do it automatically -

Hope that is of some help!
