If I make Foxfire my default browser, will the shortcuts on my desktop done through Internet Explorer still be there?
I want to switch from Internet Explorer to Foxfire, but I am concerned that I might then lose all the shortcuts on my desktop that I created with Internet Explorer. I use them for my work, so losing them would create real problems for me.

Hi Jerseywriter, those internet shortcuts probably will change from their current icon to a Firefox icon to indicate they will open in Firefox. But I can't think of any reason they would get deleted.
If you want to make a backup, I don't see any harm in that. Here's one method:
- Select them all by single-clicking the first one, then holding down the Ctrl key and single-clicking the others
- Press Ctrl+c to copy them to the clipboard (or right-click one of the selected icons and choose Copy)
- Create a new folder for them, for example: open your Documents folder (or another convenient location), click the New Folder button and assign a name like Important Pages, then double-click into that folder
- Press Ctrl+v to paste the shortcuts (or right-click a blank area of the folder and choose Paste)
