If I'm syncing several desktop computers, if I uninstall/delete an add-on on one computer, will it uninstall on all computers?

My laptop is less powerful than my other two computers and I need to reduce the add-ons, etc., to speed it up. However I don't want to uninstall these add-ons from the other computers. Before I delete any add-on from my laptop, do I need to uncheck the add-on syncing preference?

Two answers I found in some testing:

  1. Only addons that are enabled will be synced
  2. If an add on is removed one computer, it should be removed from others if it is enabled. (Not plugins)

So yes, however I do not know for mobile/desktop sync. Would you like to know about that as well?

Thanks, guigs. So, if I want to selectively disable certain add-ons on my laptop and not have it affect my other computers, I would first need to go to Options\sync and uncheck the Add-ons check box. This would stop syncing of all my add-ons. Now if I added an add-on to another of my computers, it would not be added to my laptop; I would have to manually add it if I wanted it on the laptop. This being the case it seems as though an improvement to the add-ons function would be to allow each add-on to be included, or not, in the syncing process. The default setting would be to sync all add-ons but each add-on would include a check box (or something) that could be unchecked to prevent syncing.
