bad_pool_header don't know source of problem
occasional crashes. weekly. bad_pool_header is cited as cause. No idea what this is/means.

What makes you think this has anything at all to do with Thunderbird, other than you have it running at the time?
Blue screens like your mentioning are caused by programs that access the Windows real mode kernel. this basically limits you to defective hardware or software drivers for that hardware as the operating in the real mode part of the windows kernel.
To the best of my knowledge Thunderbird has no kernel components. That is not to say it could nat ask a driver for something that causes the crash, but it is very unlikely to the the problem. Even if it initiated the sequence of events that end in a crash.

ok; will write down everything that come on the (blue) screen next time it happens.

As I recall, the message "bad_pool_header" had a blue background; will verify next time it happens.
Just happened again (Apr.23,2016 9:30 a.m.) Windows blue screen "We are looking for a solution to the problem...." Then a reboot.
