A few days a week, when I open Firefox in the morning, my session is not saved.
For years, I have always had my preferences set to show my windows and tabs from last time whenever I start Firefox. Now, for the last couple weeks, occasionally I'll open Firefox in the morning and I'll just get the Firefox Start Page. It won't give me the "Oops, something went wrong," message and it won't give me a button to restore the previous session. Other days, my previous day's tabs will open just fine.
When necessary, I have used the manual work around to copy the previous sessionstore file and rename it to bring back my tabs from the last session, so I haven't lost anything, but I'm kind of sick of having to take that step every other day.
I close Firefox the same way each night, so there doesn't seem to be a connection there.
I'm running 45.01 on a Windows 7 computer. Last month I got a new computer and used Sync to bring my old data over to the new computer. After doing so, I deleted my sync profile and am no longer using sync. I didn't have this problem for the first couple weeks with the new computer.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try to use one of these to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
- "3-bar" menu button > Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File > Exit
- Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox
- Linux: File > Quit

I've been exiting via the power button in the "3-bar" menu for the last week and my session has saved each time. Thanks!
