The question is self descriptive, the other solution would be the ability to move or re position the message window, Thanks for any help that can solve this. The reason for my question is that the message window covers up the bottom right of the task bar and it gets tedious to have to close every message window if I want to access that part of the screen........

Chosen solution

I'm assuming this is the solution you're looking for.

Q: Can I disable the notification pop-ups? A: Yes. Open the add-on manager. You can reach it via Firefox's menu, or by just entering "about:addons" without the quotes in your location bar. Locate Self-Destructing Cookies in your list of extensions, click the Preferences button and remove the checkmark next to "Notifications".

By the way, on Windows, it may be called the Options button rather than the Preferences button.

I've tried this solution, but when I open the addon manager and select Self Destruct cookies, there is no preferences button. There is an option button, but when I click on that, it opens to the article on Self Destruct cookies. There is no "notifications" box. Any other suggestions. These notification pop ups are driving me nuts. Thanks.

I am sure you have solved your problem by now, but if not: 1) Add-ons Manager 2) Self Destructing Cookies 3) Options (not preferences, doesn't exist) 4) Notifications - Uncheck the box 5) problem solved................

Just noticed the second response above clarified the preferences vs options
