Firefox starts but if I try to surf to an URL it's become unreponsife.

Closing Firefox lets disappear the Firefox window but the task remains in taskmanager. Manualy killing the firefox task and restart firefox afterwards doesn't help.

Sometimes one or more reboots of the PC are needed to get firefox working for a while.

Restart of firefox without addins (safe mode) doesn't work cause the fierefox task stays in process list and prevents a new start.

Chrome ist working perfect on the same machine.

Thanks in advanced Uwe

hi uwe, can you try updating to firefox 45 and see if the problem still exists there?: Update Firefox to the latest release

if the problem still shows up in 45, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

thank you
