after downloading mozilla can I delete explorer

I am so tired of Explorer locking up and being slow. If I download Mozilla Firefox is it alright to delete Windows Explorer. My hard drive is just about used up.

It is normally best to keep IE installed if you need to visit special Windows update website that may only work properly with IE.

Windows Explorer is the filemanager as you may be referring to Internet Explorer browser.

Firefox does not need IE to work as it is a separate application.
