Hi philb29, I understand that you would like to sync your settings in Firefox from a Desktop to a laptop. This is not a problem.

Note that Sync doesn't differentiate and merges the bookmarks the bookmarks of all connected devices among all other connected devices and can't be used to sync one way (i.e. a master and slave configuration isn't possible). If you do not want this to happen then be cautious with using Sync.
