Firefox won't let me install the Pinterest browser button
When I go to https://about.pinterest.com/en/browser-button and click on install, it prompts me to verify.
I click allow.
Then it immediately gives me an error about connection. My connection is fine. My firewall is also not the one blocking it because theres nothing about it in the log.
When I try to install this addon from the firefox directory it's nowhere to be found. I can only find the pinterest share button. I do not want a share button in firefox. I want a pin button in my browser.
Please help. I'm going insane.

Overall, that "error about connection" sounds like an issue for that website to fix. To me it looks like an improper re-direction that Firefox blocks.

Firefox is your web browser.
5 Pinterest add-ons are listed at AMO. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=Pinterest&appver=39.0&platform=windows
Did you try any of the other 4 to see if they have the features you want?
Sorry, can't help you further, I don't use Pinterest.

Thank you for the reply.
I've resorted to installing the 'Pinterest Share add-on', which probably does a similar thing as the pin button. I don't know exactly what the difference is since I can't compare. I was hesitant to use that add-on since I wasn't looking to share anything through Pinterest. In any case it works.
