Minimized firefox windows reopen as blank/half there

New computer, windows 10, installed firefox on it. But often when I restore a minimized window it often comes up as blank - things like bookmarks, images, etc. only returning when I scroll over them.

(You can see what's left of the bookmark toolbar and the web page I was on in the image for example - it doesn't happen every time, but it does happen with a variety of websites) (I did try resetting firefox but that didn't fix the problem)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

The problem did not show up when in Safe Mode, so I followed the directions and disabled hardware acceleration and that seems to have solved the problem, thank you
