I do have the old c drive in my new system but the pathway is broken to the Profile folder however if I do a search it does take me to a Profile folder that has json files in it not htm, strange but true.

Current Firefox versions store bookmarks and history in places.sqlite. Firefox creates automatically JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder and keeps up to a maximum of 15 compressed .jsonlz4 in that folder.

Best is to restore the JSON backup in the Bookmarks Manager.

You can backup the current bookmarks to an HTML file and import this backup after you have restored the JSON backup as that will replace all current bookmarks. It is possible to decompress the JSON backup, but you would still have to restore this backup to get the bookmarks in the Bookmarks Manager.
