I can´t update a new version because firefox is running,where can I stop it?

I can´t play my playlist on youtube because firefox is broken. I have tried to install a new version , everything goes fine until it says stop firefox before you start the version you just installed. I don´t know how to stop firefox :-/

Is it you can't close Firefox? It will not shut down?

Do you have the Firefox icon on your quick launch? Close Firefox. Right click on the icon and select Open New Tab. Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit.

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up in Windows. https://support.mozilla.org/questions/997866 {web link}
