Dear Seburo, Thanks for replying. I made a screenshot but I don't know where to put it in this response. I put the screenshot on to a MS Word document. You know where a COOKIE appears? Mine appear in the browser at top lefthand corner. Since my question the Red colour has not occurred again and if it does occur I must note where it happened; what site I was at. Regards, Amanda2.

The reason it's a little hard to picture is that Firefox and websites normally exchange cookies without any visual display whatsoever.

Many websites now display a notification about cookies because government regulations require them to inform you of how they use cookies and in some places, to opt out of cookies. If that's what you saw, you might see it again in the future or you might not.
