For the past week or two once I scroll over anything in a firefox window it will will disappear to a blank grey. It will stay like this even when I move the mouse away. The problem goes away when i restart my laptop but after a couple of hours the problem returns. Google chrome in the mean time works perfectly fine. Any advice?

After the above, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
