Why do I get redirected to 'DNSRSearch' even when I 'opt out' of it?

I've been looking at some cute bento boxes lately, but when I tried to open the page after dinner I was taken to 'http://www.dnsrsearch.com/index.php?origURL=http%3A//www.www.takenaka-global.com/products.html&r=&bc=' I have tried to opt out of it, to no avail! It still pops up! I didn't have this issue before. I have no antivirus... Is this even a virus, or is it just a strange setting??? PLEASE HELP SOON.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove

dnsrsearch Anything.

Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

After the problem is fixed, Bookmark and use this; Download the Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

When I go to Add-ons Manager and into the Extensions area, there is nothing. (Note: the website I am trying to visit is http://takenaka-global.com/ and this issue happens on my Iphone 4s as well. I don't use firefox on my phone. I thought that would be helpful) The only thing I can think of is that my phone and laptop are on my grandmother's wifi? But I didn't have this problem before (as in like, an hour before) on her wifi?

The domain dnsrsearch.com is listed as being owned by Time Warner Cable Enterprises LLC.

There seems to be a problem with the Takenaka server, it keeps adding an extra www to the address even if I try to remove it:

http://takenaka-global.com/ => http://www.www.takenaka-global.com/ http://www.takenaka-global.com/ => http://www.www.takenaka-global.com/

I think what TWC is doing is instead of reporting that the server can't be found is to offer you some alternate content. When you opt out, that should set a cookie or do something in your TWC account to avoid seeing that page again, but I guess that isn't working.

One common workaround for this kind of thing is to change your DNS servers. I don't know how easy that is, but if you have full configuration control over your router, then you can make the change there. For example, you can use OpenDNS or Google Public DNS.

Thanks, I'm out of town and on my laptop, but when I get home I'll be certain to try it again (I'll be home in a week - no cute bento boxes for me) I'll post again when I try it.
