In Firefox for Android, it's fairly easy to delete your entire browsing history, but I'm not sure there is a convenient way to remove particular sites from your history. Long pressing individual history entries and using Remove would be very tedious. However, if you want to remove a bookmark, that is a good approach.

I haven't checked, but using menu > Tools > Add-ons > Browse all... might lead to some history-related extensions that give you more detailed control.

You should be able to clear this using the steps outlined by my colleague Jefferson above
