Until recently, I had the subject option working, but recently firefox apparently changed something so the desired function no longer works. What do I need to do to get this to work again? Within about:config I changed view_source.editor.path so that it has "user set" and "string" to /usr/bin/kwrite which is the editor that I have always used to edit the source code for my websites and then refresh in order to view the results.

Now, however, you have changed something so that what I have set and specified no longer works. Why? And what do I need to do to get this working again?

Hello, check if for some reason the view_source.editor.external it is the default false, it must be true to make the view_source.editor.path to work.

thank you

Thank you. How frustrating it is to have things that have been working suddenly no longer work (which is what just happened to me in this and several other issues.)

This corrected this problem at least.

Many thanks.
