How do I migrate my settings and data to a new phone?

I more or less destroyed the display on my Flame, so I'm getting a new one and getting ready to migrate my settings to it, but I'm not really sure where to start. It looks like some data is stored on my SIM card but very little (none, maybe?) is stored on my MicroSD card. I tried putting my SIM and SD in a friend's Flame and my contacts, calendar subscriptions, email settings -- those are all still on my old phone.

Is there a process in place for migrating at least my settings to a new phone? How do I do that?

Hi Amandabee, I undrerstand that you would like to save your profile. This tool was used by the qa team to back up the profile, however I do not know if this works any longer.

https://github.com/Mozilla-TWQA/B2G-flash-tool

I have also seen information managed by the IDE built into Firefox. For more information also see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/F.../Flame to find more information for what files can be backed up before any changes are made on the device.

It works but not completly. I found out that after restoring profile Marketplace icon is lost somehow, but all other apps and their datas are there.

I work with the backup_restore_profile python script frequently - it works rather well for me (Flame on 2.1 and 3.0).

I was able to backup my phone by installing adb and using adb pull, but I never did manage to restore anything more than my address book from that backup.

Note: taking another pass at this, and I was able to restore much more info from the backup, but it definitely ate my marketplace app.
