Firefox is Laggy/Stuttering
Hi,
Previously I was using Chrome and Opera. But now I need to use 'one' web browser on many different devices and not all of them are rich in ram memory quantity. So i decided to go back to firefox (I used FF before Chrome). But FF is Laggy is stuttering whole the time even now when I am wrting this question (He stopped on lettter 'w' from 'when' and then on 'H' from 'He' and just now. So after couple characters. And I don't know really why? I don't have this problem problem on chrome and opera, I have in my PC: Phenom II X4 955 QuadCore 3.2GHz Black Edition 6GB DDR3 1.6V quite good and fast. SSD drive Very good graphic card and mainboards. Whole PC is really not bad. System: Windows 8.1 fully updated.
Also when I am doing something like opening many cards I have this lag thing. So maybe it is some cache problem? Maybe I will be able to turn it off?
I have about 2GB ram for web browser (Now FF is using about 0,5 to 1,5GB sometimes I have open about 45 cards but I need it). So still there is a room FF can use a bit more on this PC (on other devices FF can not use so much memory).
Also when I am minimalizing FF and after few seconds I am maximalizating it FF is lagging again. And this is also a problem for me I am copping lot of data.
Could you help me with it? Thanks

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Hi,
with Use Hardware Acceleration off, FF works much better and much faster (why?). In Safe Mode, it works additionaly a bit better and a bit faster, why? What I can do more to have my FF working really fast without any lagging?
My addonds: Adblock Plus Tab Data Web Developer
Thank you
From Mozilla help files;
Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
