I had a huge number of open windows (too many, no doubt). The browser crashed, and then automatically began a restart (after auto sending the crash report). When it reopened, it hung on a window - a download window for VideoDownloaderHelper 5. It hung for about 20 minutes, so I had to kill the window from Windows Task Manager. After then manually restarting Firefox, there is no longer any history to restore :-( Is there a way I can manually go back to the logs and get the URLs? If I can even just get them in a list, I can manually go back to them one at a time.

This will depend on your history settings. It is possible to open up the History Menu and select "Show All History".

There are also detailed cache entries in about:cache (enter that into the url bar)

Hi guigs2, I immediately tried the Show All History, but the window came up completely empty. Apparently the crash wiped out all history?

Is there a folder on the desktop that says "Old Firefox Data"?

I had the same problem with 378 tabs which I now have to dig out in the history. Is there a way to back up these sessions more reliably? Restore Previous Session NEVER works.

You can set the browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes pref to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.

That way you see if the previous session didn't close properly or crashed and will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen other tabs.

Will try this. Thanks.
