My bookmarks do not show in sidebar

mozilla crashed and now my sidebar is blank except for three entries that show a box and (no title). When I select Bookmarks from the menu some bookmarks are there. I have tried importing bookmarks bot the sidebar is still blank

I don't know if this will help you, But I have found an KB on recovering bookmarks.

Recover lost or missing Bookmarks

I will try to find something specific for the side bar. If I do find something I will post here for you to look at.

Also this might help. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
