I keep seeing on my window page of firefox that i need to update to the newer version? I have tried that many times, but unable to update to the newest version?

Just so you are not surprised, the Firefox 35 will be coming out on Tuesday Jan 13.

Try this:
- Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ - Start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon
