Missing etiquettes.
Hello!
Yesterday I've set etiquettes for around 100 bookmarks in various folders. Now the folders got "moved" in the catalogue tree, and etiquettes are gone. Why did that happened? Is it bug or my fault?
I've FF version 34. The structures of bookmarks tree had two branches, eg. BranchA and BranchB. In both branches there were same directories, but different bookmarks in them. I'm looking for some mechanism for managing bookmarks (around 1,5k and growing) and the etiquettes seemed to be good solution, if they would work well..
Thanks in advance for help.

Hi Luke, with only 1 Firefox connected to Firefox Sync, you wouldn't normally see changes. I'm not familiar with EverSync.
Firefox is designed to make a daily bookmarks backup when it is idle. I'm going to suggest trying to roll back your bookmarks to the last backup if it's from the right date.
First, create a new backup in a safe location such as your Documents folder. The following article has the steps for that:
Second, export your bookmarks to a safe location such as your Documents folder. The reason for this extra step is that you may have some new bookmarks you want to keep, and an export can be added to your restored bookmarks without completely replacing it.
Okay, now let's see whether there was an automatic backup the other night that contains your lost work. Use the restore feature and see whether that date is available. If you restore, the older file will completely replace your current set of bookmarks.
If you can successfully restore and you are missing anything newer, you can import the HTML-format file you exported. This may add a new folder to the Bookmarks Menu or to the Unsorted Bookmarks folder. You can use the Library dialog to drag-and-drop the bookmarks you want to move to a new location.
Any luck?

Your bookmarks definitely should not move or change by themselves. Do you have that Firefox set to sync with a different Firefox, or any other kind of bookmark sync service?

I have sync (made account enabled etc) but there is no other Firefox application which I could synchronize with. Thats odd. I was working one day to cleanup stuff and the other day it was messed even worse :( I haven't even opened FF meantime, just slept. Should I remove the sync account and test that? Or maybe just "disconnect" ?
PS. Thanks for response :)
I've find out that I have EverSync (sync between FF and Chrome) but it was only syncing with service. On the other browser it wasn't initially synced. So actually not working, I guess. Do you think it could be the reason of "mess" ?

Thanks! I've done those steps (backups, export). Then I did the restore from the "day". Sadly the state wasn't containing a lot modifications I've made. Anyway I will work on them later on. I've restored (from export) those "new" bookmarks. Thanks for your help. I've removed the EverSync plugin. Now I hope the etiquettes will stay, and the directories won't go "somwhere else".
Btw. Do you know if/when the etiquettes option will be introduced to the mobile FF?
Well, it was worth a try. Sorry you have to re-do the work.
Regarding the Android version, which currently has far fewer bookmark features, I don't know what is planned for the future. It is taking a long time to address basic issues such as having folders or being able to sort...
Thanks for your time and help. Good luck!
