I am trying to hide, (really want to remove) some of the search engines available in Waterfox. cannot "uncheck" unwanted engines

located the dialog to change/select the search engines that are visible in waterfox, they are all selected (checked) attempting to change (uncheck) any\all options does not work (box does not uncheck).

Chosen solution

Load this - chrome://browser/content/search/engineManager.xul - internal page. It has the same controls as the old Search Bar had.
