How do I import a mail certificate?

I found the settings to Manage Certificates, but the only clear way to import a cert is a file system import. I can't download a mail certificate because when I visit https://mail.example.com:995 I get an error saying this port is not available in the browser, for my protection. So if I can't visit the URL, how the heck do I import a certificate?

I actually have the certificate stored on my SD card now. But I still don't know how to import it. When I look at the Certificate management GUI, I don't see a way to pull a certificate in from another directory. I just see "Select Certificate" and no certificates.

Hi amandabee,

Are you still experiencing issues importing security certificates so that you may access your email account?

It appears that there is currently no interface for doing this. The following bug is tracking this feature request, and it may also offer a workaround for what you are currently experiencing:

Please let us know if your problem is resolved, or if you have any other questions about your Firefox OS device.

Thanks,

Bug 874346 may have links to an explanation of how to import a certificate from a command line, but I want to make clear that the bugs that would address this situation are the system bugs: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=769183 or https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=867899

Just adding that https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1106393 would be a start. The certificate issues are a problem, but the fact that the documentation ignores them makes users think we're losing our minds.
