When I signed in today a new message said something new had been added to Firefox. How do I find that info now?

I am using a Apple iMac and when I opened my email using Firefox the email filled the whole screen. Up on the right hand side of the screen was a circle with the letter 'W' in it. Each time I pressed that button different letters appeared. What's up with that? There was no way for me to get away from the full screen display other than using the escape button. I restarted my computer and the full screen display is still there. What do I need to do to fix this?

Oops, I don't see a link to the tour there after all. You can use this:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/33.1/whatsnew/?oldversion=33.0.3

Do you mean Firefox keeps opening in fullscreen? I'm not sure if this applies to a Mac, but you can typically exit out of fullscreen on Firefox by pressing the F11 button on your keyboard in Firefox.

Or if you mean that you got a message about a new add-on when you opened Firefox, just click the Menu button>Add-ons and look in the list of extensions for something unfamiliar or something you haven't installed yourself.

I think my problem is somehow related to the new Mozilla 'Independent' program that was loaded today. It has nothing to do with Apple.

I'm sorry. I do not understand what you mean by Mozilla "Independent" Program. Can you explain your issue in more detail? What message appeared when you opened Firefox?

The Firefox 33.1 update displays a tab with a "tour" of some new features, but if I recall correctly, the fonts were normal sized...

Can you access the menu, toolbar, or any other part of Firefox?

What does Mac Firefox do when you press Esc -- does that hide the application? (On Windows, I would use Esc to exit the full-screen Flash player, or close a dialog, but otherwise, it doesn't do much.)

Sorry, I don't remember the exact wording. When I opened Firefox this morning it was like a big promo had finally arrived which would lead to 'independent thinking' and there was a button icon displayed on the right -hand side of the screen for further instructions. I chose to wait until later to read the instructions. My bad!

Everything was working fine on Firefox until I opened my mail. When I displayed the first email it appeared to be just a regular email but it was surrounded by white space which completely filled the screen. The only options were the usual mail options...reply,forward,junk etc. The only other thing on the screen was this button icon with the letter 'W' on the upper right-hand side of the screen. Pushing the button changed the letters to 'GG' or other letters. The escape key on the iMac clears everything on the screen. I wonder if the tour for Firefox 33.1 might hold the answer. What info do I enter to take the tour?

Here's the "What's new" page you might have seen:

There is a link for the tour below the video.

That's it! The link to "Declare Your Independence"...the new Forget Button. Thank you for finding it for me. I just started using Foxfire as my primary browser so I have a lot to learn.
