How can I make the Firefox page smaller than the entire screen when I can't grab any edges?

I was searching for photos of a piece of furniture and to get the entire item on the screen, I hit the big square in the upper right of the page next to the red "X" box. Now I can't get it to go smaller using the Escape key or by trying to grab the edges as you can do with email or even an Internet page. It just seems like the page is too big. I want to see other things on my screen below the entire Internet page. Please advise.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Command+Shift+F).

Try to open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can use the Resize item in that menu to use the keyboard cursor keys to resize the window.

The solution suggestion of using Alt+ Space is what worked for me and made Firefox just a hair smaller so I could grab an edge and resize to my choice!! Thank you so much for your help!! Sheila (soatman@windstream.net)
