Can you give me your crash reports?

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and paste them into your response here.

You said no submitted reports. Do you mean there are no crash reports?

In the address bar, type about:crashes. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers, click it and select Submit.

Oh, I see. Firefox is hanging not crashing. Two different meanings there.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:

  • Windows/Mac: Go to Help > Restart with add-ons disabled
  • Linux: Run firefox -safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems and works normally, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

when i restart my computer the language bar which must appear beside the icons (wireless,battery,speakers,....etc) is missing and my problem of the language switching when pressed ALT+SHIFT appears , but when i go to control panel and check the language setting the language bar appears again and the problem gone and i can switching without any problems , i think the problem begins with the language icon or bar , why every time i run my PC its gone and i need to go to check the control panel again , by the way i tried to use the safe mode and its working but when i switch to Arabic it won't switch back to English !!!

It is better to assign a specific key to select a layout and disable the shortcut to cycle to avoid an unintentional layout switch if you use a Shift + Ctrl/Alt shortcut in Firefox.

  • Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Keyboards and Languages > Change keyboards > Advanced key settings > Change key sequence
