Tab Groups: When one has multiple groups, if a group is not currently being used, are the tabs in that group "hibernating," i.e. not refreshing.

For example, if I get a security warning about a website, could the site be in one of the groups not currently being used.

Hello, If you can please give me a another example. I do not understand if you are trying to say the website in the tabs the security warning will appear yes.

Another example, unrelated to security warning:

Are tabs in all tab groups, even a tab group NOT currently open, refreshing?

For example, the NYTimes website updates itself. If there's a tab for that site in a tab group "hibernating," will that tab repeatedly refresh.

If "hibernating" groups' tabs are refreshing, wouldn't that slow do access to sites in an open tab group?

Hello it will refresh when you click on that tab and it will refresh when you click on it.

1. To clarify your answer--- Tabs in Groups not currently opened ONLY REFRESH when that tab is clicked on when the "hibernated" group is re-opened...

Yes? So, that multiple TabGroups do NOT slow down access to currently opened Tab Group.

2. So, back to security question, if a security risk flag appears, then it must be for a website in a currently opened Tab Group... either one currently in use or a tab that self-refreshes.

2a. Flag briefly appears in bar, then disappears, it does not appear directly on open website, like a pop-up window, so it is unclear which website is being flagged.. It could be one that self-refreshes.
