My mail filesa re huge like 26GB. So I do the copy/paste type transfer for backup. I've done it for years. Today I get this (see attachment) at the end of the "paste" into a backup folder. I hit "skip" Is this an issue? Earlier I did accidentally hit the auto export (zip) b4 reverting to manual

So by skipping this is this going to break my backup so it isn't useable?

Hallo, ich habe bisher mein AOL Konto über Thunderbird (Version 153.4.0esr (64-Bit)) auf meinem Windows PC (Win 11) genutzt. Vor ein paar Tagen konnte keine Verbinung mehr zu AOL Server aufgenommen werden und es fand keine synchronisierung mehr statt. Ich habe mein AOL Konto in Thunderbird gelöscht und wollte es neu hinzufügen. Der Dialog zum Hinzufügen eines e-Mail-Kontos startet, ich gebe meine AOL Mailadresse ein, die Standard-E-Mail-Einstellungen werden angezeigt (mit Authorisierung OAuth2), das AOL Anmeldeverfahren wird gestartet, meine AOL Mailadresse ist eingetragen, ich nutze die andere Anmeldemethode (mit Kennwort), gebe mein AOL Passwort ein (das funktioniert, wenn ich mich direkt bei AOL anmelde), der Dialog mit der Überprüfung der Zugangsdaten bzw. die Bestätigung der Zugriffe, ich stimme den AGB zu, aber nun kommt die Fehlermeldung von der Seite (https://api.login.yahoo.com/oauth2/error?client_id=dj0yJmk9MGNoTTQ0SjhIN1dSJmQ9WVdrOVdIVnFkVVp2UkZNbWNHbzlNQT09JnM9Y29uc3VtZXJzZWNyZXQmc3Y9MCZ4PTNm&error=unauthorized_client&error_description=invalid+client+id):

Not sure what is going on but all of the sudden my inbound server is not allowing emails in. Outbound works. AT&T says its a Thunderbird issue. My computer guy cannot figure it out. Help. I can only receive email on AT&T

Using Thunderbird 115.18.0esr Supernova 64-bit on Mac laptop OS 10.13.6. Worked fine for years, with ongoing Thunderbird updates, even though Mac OS is 32-bit. Suddenly, after 10/6/26 can't retrieve emails although I can see them on the ATT Yahoo server website. Can still send emails with Thunderbird. Inbound server settings are: POP server inbound.att.net, Port 995, SSL/TLS, Normal Password (I long ago created a Secure Mail Key, and even tried creating a new one). But inbound server name doesn't show in Saved Passwords (only outbound server with Secure Mail Key as password)? I have tried everything suggested, repaired my inbox folder, updated Thunderbird files, etc. in Profile as recommended. But still no prompt for password when attempting to get messages. Just shows "Done" at bottom left with no new messages received. But new messages are seen on server website. So it appears that Thunderbird isn't able to connect to the ATT Yahoo server to get emails. Why? And what else can I do? I love Thunderbird and want to continue using it.

AVG sends message: "We've identified a site certificate problem" "Trust for this certificate has been revoked."

Looking at certificate page that AVG provides is Greek to me. General tab displays:

"This certificate has been revoked by its certification authority"

Details tab:

lists a bunch of things that I don't comprehend and offers an option to "copy to file" and lists a number of formats to copy the file to.  Have no idea which would be the one to use. 

Trying to access email directly from browser has not been successful because it wants verify my identity by sending message to my phone, but it does not send anything.

My eMail has worked fine for many years - until this morning.

 When I first tried to "get messages", I got a response, "connection to inbound.att.net server reset".
 I restarted Thunderbird, and then the computer (Windows 11), and when I tried again, I got, ""inbound.att.net (POP) .. certificate revoked".
 I can login to my ATT webmail, but I can't download eMail to my computer via Thunderbird.

... In my attempt to upload this question, I looked for the TB Version, but it said to update Thunderbird. I did so, not it is back to telling me "connection...reset"

 Please help!

Earlier today I was able to access my AT&T email using Thunderbird. I have several email addresses & they worked. But later on I could not download any AT&T email. Interesting that my gmail address still works with TB.

I tried a few things - An AT&T address can send to the gmail address & the gmail does receive it. The gmail can send to an AT&T address. The gmail indicates it was sent, but the AT&T address never receives it.

It seems to be an AT&T problem so I went to the AT&T site & deleted the Secure Mail Key an created a new one. Did this on just one address. It can still send to the gmail address, however it still cannot receive anything.

When trying to receive any AT&T email, at the bottom of the screen it displays my address & “Connected to inbound.att .net”. That would seem to indicate I'm connected but just cannot get my email.

And suggestions on how to get TB working with AT&T email? Thanks.

Unable to add an attachment to the email being sent. After I create answer, I can't add attachement. No any action after clicking "add attachement", no action after clicking menu "add file (Ctr+Shift+A)". Adding file is possible only by windows menu "Send by e-mail", thunderbird create new e-mail with attachment, I must give e-mail adress and only this way I can sent e-mail with attachment. since a few days I am not able to use the mail-attachement function anymore. A click to the symbol does not open the file directory-window. The alternative, using the keyboard combination also doesn't work.

How can I solve the problem immediately ?

My @googlemail.com account has been working in Thunderbird for years. Two days ago it stopped. No incoming e-mails and attempts to send e-mails from Thunderbird result in the outgoing server timing out. I can access direct at gmail.

Please note that my previous e-mail: alan.rhodes@talktalk.net is no longer available The replacement: alan-rhodes@outlook.com has been blocked by MS-AI (It didn't like a circulation e-mail to 60 members of my local history group) The only working e-mail I have is the current problem one: rhodes.alan1@googlemail.com

What do I have to do to get help in this Forum? This is the second time I've posted a Question seeking help, and yet again it is being ignored. Do I have join some secret clique or group? If so please tell me?

Due to issues with upgrading from Ubuntu 24.04.1 to 26.04.1, I decided to just start from scratch with a new clean install.

After finalising the install, I copied across my Thunderbird data to the new partition, merging directories as the data copied across. But, somewhere in the transfer I lost about the last two years emails, with only emails up until 12/24 being available.

There are a lot a important emails I need to recover, and I'm guessing they're still on my PC, in the old partition, and I desperately need help to recover them.

Thunderbird will not download mail. It sends this: "The certificate for inbound.att.net does not come from a trusted source." "Location: inbound.att.net:995" Then it sends the data with the certificate information. I am not a programmer, I do not understand what I am supposed to do to get it going again.

I am unable to attach files in Thunderbird. When I click the "Attach" button (or paperclip icon) in the compose window, the file selection window does not open at all. Nothing happens.

Environment:

OS: Windows 11 Thunderbird Version: 153.4.0
