This issue started with a (frustrating) set of steps following a page which wasn't displayed (https://www.ziggogo.tv/) - the screen remained black. Refresh solved it but the reinstalled plugins didn't show an icon and did not work at all. I de-installed Firefox, installed some old version from an update, installed all plugins and then updated to the latest version. Now finally everything seems to work- except that the 2nd and next windows show at a quarter of the size compared to the first whchi show correctly. I've tried everything I could think of with xulstore.json in the correct ..\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ subdirectory but nothing helps. I deleted it (which requires you to re-check that you want a menu bar),when I though for a moment it worked, made it read only (which means Firefox makes a .tmp version of it), manually changed the content (e.g. to "main-window":{"screenX":"4","screenY":"4","width":"3840","height":"2048","sizemode":"maximized"}}} matching my 4K monitor but nothing helps. And no, Ctrl click the Close button doesn't help either.

I suspect that it is a (maybe reintroduced) bug in a later build. I don't update often and I haven't seen this issue before.

Anything I can do which I haven't tried?

Got a problem on two separate computers: Mozilla Crash Reporter keeps popping up when Firefox is not even running. I'm guessing that my antivirus avast is interfering with the update service. I'm I right or wrong? Otherwise, does anyone know how to interpret this? This is the report:

What am I supposed to do about this new problem?

"XUL Runner This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile." I did create a new profile. I have like 4 different profiles now from every time I've had to reinstall Firefox because it keeps crashing and freezing.

I had 2 windows open, closed one, lost all of my tabs. Restore didn't work. I tried to restore by renaming session-store-backups folder files. doesn't work. There is a file called upgrade.jsonlz4 from November, maybe that could be used to restore tabs somehow?

What has happened to typing and viewing the content of the search INSIDE the Google search box? Why this does not work now and the search moves to the address bar where it is tight and one cannot see all content of the search? Why have you done this? How can I bring it back please? I hate is as is now.

Majority of the songs do not play and I'm given with a pop-up, "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

I will play a song from a playlist and is given that pop-up, it will continue skipping to the next song until it plays, but only for 9-10 seconds until the song mutes, to specify, the dot (when hovered on the progress bar) will still move, indicating that "it's playing".

Some clarifications: 1. I use Spotify Desktop app (windows), Spotify App (android), and Spotify Webplayer on Chrome and Firefox. Everything works just as fine on all of these, except for Spotify Webplayer on Firefox. 2. Skipping to a later timestamp does not unmute the song. 2. I have Spotify Premium 3. I have no VPN 4. Un-checked and re-checked "Play DRM content" setting. 6. Disabled and re-enabled the plug-in "Widevine Content Decryption Module by Google Inc". I use the Quick Tabs Ported addon. Developement has stopped.

What's nice about it is that it's a combo toolbar button tab counter with a badge, as well as a tab session drop down menu with a search field (pretty much like the built-in "List all tabs").

My issue is that the menu is slow loading, and I was hoping I could find a replacement that can be customized to make the menu entries more compact (remove the spaces between tabs) and display in a proper order

Firefox recently started banking protection when it thinks I am accessing a bank Web site. Settings has no information about it. How can I exempt a particular site from banking protection?

Running Firefox 120.0.1 on Windows 10. I also run Vivaldi and test with Chrome. I installed Google Analytics Opt-Out add-ons on FF, Vivaldi, and Chrome. When I go to any site with links to X (Twitter), and click on the link, instead of that link appearing the last X link I went to appears. If I click again I get to the correct link.

When I disable the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on all works fine. This doesn't happen with either of the Chromium browsers, so I'm thinking there's something happening in Firefox by avoiding Google analytics that isn't in the Chromium browsers. In addition, this behavior began within the past couple of weeks of recent FF updates.

I installed several different Google Analytics add-ons and the same thing happened in FF, but not in the Chromium browsers.

Any ideas? I know I can disable the analytics crushers but I really don't want Google hijacking my browsing.

I have recentlly built a new pc. I have updated windows, graphcs drivewrs and checked that the ram is good. I have submitedn the crash log: bp-c292b4b1-dbec-41f5-a25f-5823f0231202

I have been getting this error message for over a week now, PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. My internet is fine and I have restarted my computer a few time since the problem started. I have added some sites to the Exceptions list but even then they don't work properly. I have tried refreshing Firefox and changed the profile and they both didn't fix the problem. I am sadly not knowledgeable enough to make sense of the Web Developer Tools. The attached image is what my YouTube page looks like after add the site to the Exceptions list.

Whenever I open Firefox, it opens every tab from my previous session. I don't want this - if I closed the window, it was because I wanted it closed, and I don't need any automated system to re-open everything on the off chance I was wrong. I believe the setting for this is on the General tab, but as you can see in the attached screenshot, it's definitely off, yet the feature won't go away. I also tried changing the config settings, as listed here:

How do I stop Firefox opening these tabs without permission?

It's exactly like this only adding a tag does not rectify the problem. I can add tags in the bookmarks library, but the 'tags' section does not show when I Ctrl+D. Any ideas? In the last few weeks I've had problems uploading videos to sites like Meta's Business Suite using Firefox. So I did a little investigation today with a video on Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers and had no problems uploading using the simple command "Ctrl + O" but it failed on Firefox browser. See pics attached. Whatever improvement you've recently made has totally screwed up my workflow.

As of 12/1/23 Firefox browser on Windows PC is freezing up and not responding. Multiple reinstalls, cache clearing etc not fixing issue.

When visiting some smaller and less known websites on my computer it shows the error message "connection has timed out" but on my laptop it loads just fine. Both run firefox and are sync'd with the same configuration and extensions. I already tried the troubleshoot mode and also checked the firewall. Is there anything else I can try to fix this?
