Suddenly to use Passwords list on Firefox Windows is demanding I sign into Windows, where previously I used the special "master" password I use only on Firefox. I want to disable this intrusion.

Having forgotten the last few figures of my primary password, I am stunned to find that you offer no way to reclaim or rest it without losing all of my saved sites and passwords.

I have always used a master password for years and I love it. Ever since the last update came in it will not keep my passwords after I shut my computer down. I have to re enter them every day. How can I fix this?

In version 146.0.1, or perhaps even earlier, I noticed that if you set a Primary Password to log in to the browser, you can reset it and log in simply by clicking the "Cancel" button. This allows you to access all of your user tabs and links. I hadn't noticed this before. It defeats the purpose of setting a Primary Password. I noticed similar issues in the Tor browser, but you can't set a Primary Password there at all, even though the feature is there, and it's built on the Fire Fox engine. Please fix this issue. No buttons should allow you to log in without entering the correct Primary Password.

Hi, I set a primary password so that this is required when I first sign in to Firefox but although the request for the password shows up, I realise I only need to press 'cancel' and firefox is opened.

I receive multiple password requests when using the Firefox browser. Every website, every link change, every everything? How do I turn Firefox's password requirement off?

Dear support, I have 2 pcs and I need to enter sync password every time I open Firefox - start notebook. It works fine on the second pc and password is remembered. How to solve it? I recently added the primary password (master passwrod) for my firefox browser from the settings.

Normally it locks the browser functionality until the password is correctly entered, but one thing I noticed recently was that the hyperlinks/webpage links from 3rd party app (discord/pdf readers/etc) opens the website regardless of this password input. I can use the page to browse the internet, although the password still works for locking other things like firefox's built-in password manager.

Is this intended mechanism for a "locked" browser?

I will be purchasing a new desktop PC so that I can change to Windows 11 soon. My concern is that I use firefox to store all my passwords. I will need to use a 3rd party to transfer all my data from my old PC, I do not want them to have access to all of my many passwords. What should I do before I hand over my old PC to them for the upgrade to new PC ? I am old and not a tech savvy bloke, so do not get too technical please.
