Good evening. I have 220 login passwords in Lockwise and want to make either a back-up hardcopy or digital back up file.

Good Day, One of my login websites is not being recognised because the full login URL is changed by Lockwise. E.g. from "https://siteUrl/prem-login" to the basic "https://siteUrl" which I deleted and re- added, only for the same thing to happen again! I then exported and edited the export file so that there was only the single entry, and then deleted the entry from the Lockwise password manager. I then imported this single entry only to find that Lockwise AGAIN changed the URL entry to the basic "https://siteUrl" ! What is going on here? Surely Lockwise should not be changing the URL ? Why else is the site login not being recognised by Lockwise?

Hey!

I'm trying to do a better job of making passwords, so I'm using a primary password with Lockwise auto-generated passwords on a per-website basis.

I wanted to ask about how password strength is determined. Obviously, a higher score (more of the green bar filled) is better, but it's not self-evident what is considered a "good" password. (Besides the fact that it also needs to be easy to remember.)

I've tried long chain passwords similar to "Correcthorsebatterystaple" (High-ish score, susceptible to dictionary attack).

I've added numbers and symbols to long chain passwords in random places. (Still below average)

I tried "Password1234" (Good score...?)

In short: How are these passwords judged, and how do I do better?

I'd recently changed to Mozilla's VPN and decided to move my passwords & login's Firefox too, but when attempting to move it over, creating a CVS file on my desktop, but Dashlane's format wasn't acceptable to Lockwise and couldn't continue.

I'd found this article here, archived, that address this very issue, but I'm not smart enough to follow the conversation and make sense of it.

[[import passwords from dashlane|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1304027]]

I know it's how this fellow converted his Dashlane, but as I say I don't quite understand if this was a bat file or what...???

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I use Norton 360 which includes a minimal level of LifeLock protection. I received a "Dark Web Notification" that my username and password for one of my accounts was listed for sale on the Dark Web. I am assuming the account using this was hacked. The notification does not identify the hacked account, only the login info and only the last few characters of its password. I am wondering if there is a way to search my FireFox logins using these last few characters so that i can discover which account was hacked and change the password. My FF account logins list is very LONG and searching each one would be very time consuming. Thanks for any help.

Hi, I've set my master password, but I forgot to save him, so I don't remember it - I know, that I can reset it using (chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml), but my question is - this command will delete ONLY my passwords saved locally (so in my PC), or it'll delete synchronised passwords (in my Firefox account) too?

Thanks for answers!

Hi, folks! I have a Windows 10 desktop and just bought a Windows 10 laptop and have Firefox for Windows 85.0.2 (64-bit) on both. I am trying to transfer my Firefox saved logins from the desktop to the laptop. My sync settings on both machines has logins and passwords turned on but they don't sync. I'm probably misunderstanding something. I managed to export the desktop Firefox logins to a CSV file but have not found a way to import them to the laptop Firefox. I have looked and looked for the "import from file" option that is supposed to be in Lockwise but so far no luck. Any ideas? Thanks!

My desktop and phone have been synced for a long time. Until recently, I never used Firefox’s password management tool for sensitive accounts, mainly financial. Then I read about Firefox’s Primary Password and realized that this was the security I needed so that I could use password management across all my accounts. The passwords all synced with my phone, but the Primary Password did not. The only temporary, not-very-good band aid I could find, was to turn off automatic fill on my phone. Should I delete the current Firefox app on my phone (version 84), reinstall, and re-sync? Is this the only way to get the same Primary Password on both devices? Thanks in advance for your help!

Lockwise truncates the login website address I am attempting to set. As a result it takes me to the Software vendor website rather than me Dr's website portal.

I've had similar issues before but never bothered to complain.

Here is the actual address I want.

https://mycw90.ecwcloud.com/portal12070/jsp/100mp/login_otp.jsp

This takes me to the Dr's clinic where I want to be able to login in and see my lab results, etc. without having to remember all the jillions of passwords that all my (many) Dr's and other contacts want me to have.

Because lockwise truncates the address to this.

https://mycw90.ecwcloud.com

And that redirects me to here -> https://www.eclinicalworks.com So, I end up at the s/w vendor site instead.

I hope this explanation is clear enough.

Past issues were similar except I ended up at the correct site but not at the correct page, so it didn't trigger Firefox to present my credentials. All this negates the automation you tried to put in but did manage to trigger the PTSD I picked up in Vietnam.

Not your fault, but frustrating as i ended up going back to the lockwise files to read my passwords, all the while mumbling something about someones ancestry.

 : )

If I've missed a clue, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thanks in advance for your help..

I exported logins/passwords to a .csv file and imported each field as Text into Excel. The data includes several date/times such as Last Used Date. The Date/Times are just large numbers like I might find if they were the number of milliseconds since Jan. 1, 1970. Does anyone know what the date/time format used is? I'll ask in an Excel forum how to convert it to something more human friendly.
