Hello! To ensure that I fully understand your question, let me rephrase it: Do you want to open a link in a new tab instead of the current window, right? If your problem is like this, you can try unchecking "Open link in tab instead of new window (W)" in "Settings - General - Tabs - Open" (see Figure 1), or you can right-click on the link when opening it and select "New tab to open link" (see Figure 2).
