All printing now goes through print preview.
there is no option to print the current page
I use the PrintFriendly https://www.printfriendly.com/ browser plugin exclusively. In the print preview you can delete unwanted material such as images.
(print screen) Example from adobe pdf. The print "current page" option has always been in THUNDERBIRD as well.
