Isn't screen mask a MS product? It seems you should be directing that question to MS.

I use several tools for screen brilliance. One is this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/page-shadow/

I learned the term "screen mask" years ago when DBII was 'computer language' it sets up areas for entering data such as this box I am using now. Developers then have components that do not change . like "Post a Reply" on the outside. In my case the whole screen is washed out and I, for instance, am unable to see the blue line around this data entry point to know where to start typing. I can only assume it is controllable by display / control center / settings but I am unable to sort it out. The 'page-shadow' seems interesting. I shall look further but believe I have a 'setting' out of place.

I believe there's nothing in Firefox settings; I don't know about Windows 10 controls. The only way I know to remove outlines is with code in userContent.css (for pages) and userChrome.css (for the browser interface).
